Yes, the class is required. It's held on the 4th Sunday of every month so this Sunday there is a class. You also have to go down and fill out a yellow piece of paper to get a date. They only have a max of 8 babies per Sunday.

(We're all set with the paperwork and date, but DH was wondering if the class was mandatory since it's a 'walk-in" class.)

i went to the class back in december it is very short and abbreviated. you can get the yellow slip at the class. i believe the class is given after the 9:45 childrens mass.

My friend & I went for hers but the priest never showed up. We called the next day and they said not to worry about it.
You can request a private one also. That's what we did for my friends Twins
