Baseball hat sizing...

I need your opinions...

Caiden wears his baseball hat like it's his security blanket... he always has. Anyway, I need to get a new one for him, but I'm having trouble with the sizing. I ordered one online, paid shipping and the stupid thing is too small. It's a childs medium. They only had toddler and child medium. I thought for sure that the child size would fit, but no.

The only thing I can find online is either child size or youth size. Obviously the child size doesn't fit so would you think the youth size would fit? It's for 8 yrs. +, and 21 1/4 inches. The child size is 20 1/2 inches. I measured his head and it's 19 3/4 inches. (He's always had a big head! ) The child size didn't fit, but the youth size is a bit bigger. I hate spending all this money on shipping if these hats aren't going to fit! Any thoughts?

I've looked in stores here and they don't have anything but adult hats. Thanks!

If it is a fitted hat, they go by diameter of the head.

So divide is noggin in half

They make adult sizes that are quite small that might fit
