Bat Mitzvah - what to wear??
I am attending my boss' daughter's bat mitzvah on Saturday the 22nd...
I need suggestions of what to wear to the temple at 9:15am
and then the celebration at the North Ritz Club at 7:30pm

I would dress "business casual" or in a suit for the service and whatever you would wear to a wedding for the reception.

Something you'd wear to a wedding. Usually night Bar Mitzvah's or Bar Mitzvah's in general are pretty dressy. Nice suit for the guy and you can wear a dress. Doesn't have to be a gown or anything. I got a cute party dress from the black and white store.

Agree with other posters. Simple skirt, skirt suit, or dress is fine for temple. For the reception, where what you would for a wedding.

Make sure if you go to the temple service to wear something conservative and cover your shoulders. Otherwise, for the evening, I would wear a nice cocktail dress.
