Bath Time - how long?

Hi,

How often do you bath your DC and for how long?

DD is 7 1/2 mths and I give her a bath every day for between 10 and 15 mins. She really loves her bath and its probably drying out her skin but it doesnt seem to be.

Just wondering what the rest of you moms do.

TIA

I bathe her about every other day as quickly as possible!!!!!! I can't stress that enough Chat Icon She HATES the bath and claws to get out the whole time and well, OK, I admit it...now that it's cooler and she's wearing long pants and she's not sweating...every other day is sometimes a bit of an exaggeration Chat Icon

I give Bryan a bath everyday also- its usually no more than 10 minutes depending on how long he will sit. His skin got dry a few months back and the Dr told me to use baby oil on it ( not lotion because lotion acutally makes skin drierChat Icon ). It worked wonders for him- his skin is soooo smooth. We never skip a bath, its part of his bedtime routine.

Jake begs for tubbies. He gets one every other day, unless he has a real dirty/sticky day. They usually last around 20 minutes.

Re: Bath Time - how long?

depends on how dirty he got that day. DS is 18 months and he gets a bath usually every other day - He spends awhile in the tub though because he loves it

Luka is 5.5 months and he gets a bath every other day and it is quick usually 5 minutes. He really likes the water but has dry skin and I dont want it to get worse. I am going to try the baby oil.

The same. It has become a routine. He loves it and he's not dry at all. We always use poweder or baby lotion after his bath to ensure that he stays soft and snuggly. If it works for you both that's what matters most. As tired as I can be - it's just adorable. My DS is 7 months as well and it helps him relaxz after a long day.
