Bathing

How often do you give your baby a bath? Logan is 3 months, I am not sure if I should be bathing him every night or every other night... Right now its every other, but I feel like he looks very greasy by the 3rd day!
Thanks!
Ali

Re: Bathing

I bathe everynight only because Bryan loves it and it seems to relax him at night- except when he gets out and is coldChat Icon

Re: Bathing

I give Jared a bath every other night too. I was wondering if I could do a bath every night also because when he's out during the day, he's sweating. I guess it's ok...it's just water...
Anyone else???Chat Icon

I do the same and for the same reason. I was also told not to use oatmeal based soaps because they dried her out. This was during the winter months though. Now I just use Gerber mild baby wash, berry sented.

I give Nate a bath every other night. On the nights he doesn't get a bath, I just clean him up with a warm washcloth.

Re: Bathing

I bathe Andrew every night. I mostly do it because its part of our bonding/nighttime ritual since I work full time. I only have a little time with him before he goes to bed so I do it more for myself than because he's dirty!

Re: Bathing

when he was small (and in the winter) we did it every other night. Then he loved it so much plus it helped with our bedtime routine and getting him into his crib that we switched it to every night. there are some nights he is literally in the bath for 2-3 minutes but sometimes we let him play. We need to "graduate" him to the tub because he LOVES to splash Chat Icon

Plus with this heat he sweats so he needs a bath every night now. We'll see how he does in the winter but we may go back to every other if he gets dry skin again. Thats what my dr advised. But you do what works for you.

Re: Bathing

When he was real little, I would do a full bath a few times a week (2-3). Around three months I started every other night - sometimes I go one more day (depends on our schedule). On days I don't bathe him, I use a wash cloth and wash his face, hands, neck, and private areas. I can't wash his hair more than three times a week or I see the cradle cap come back!
