BATHING IN THE TUB DO YOU HAVE A MAT OR ???
My DS takes a bath almost everyday and you know the mat gets dirty on the bottom and today I was reading that bath mats are not good for you , Well I dont want my DS with his bottom (REAR END)on the floor of the tub, He is the only one that uses this bathroom , So what do you have ? or What should you put instead of a mat .???

I used an inflatable tub up until Andrew was almost 2. I just put it in the bathtub and it was so much easier than having him in the big tub at first when he was so young.

Re: BATHING IN THE TUB DO YOU HAVE A MAT OR ???
I use a bath mat, it looks and feels the same as the day I bought it Do you take it out to dry after every bath?
Mine is hung over the tub to dry in between baths.
The bottom of the tub is too slippery not to use it. (even though there is some supposed non slip surface??? its still very slippery)
Bath toys, now thats another story... some of them get so gross with no way for the water to get out properly.

We still do it is the sink but when I put her in the tub I put a clean towel down, (also helps so she doesn't slip and slide..

I guess I'm not understanding -- why don't you want his "bum" touching the tub?

What about getting those non-slip flower or duck pad things? They go directly onto the bottom of the tub so there is less of a change of them getting mildewy, but they still provide non-slip.

Re: BATHING IN THE TUB DO YOU HAVE A MAT OR ???
I used (still using) an inflatable tub in my bath tub. the squishyness made me feel he was protected. When I move him to the regular bath (I tried to recently but he was too scared and freaked out but he his getting too big for the inflatable) - I will use a bathmat for safety - non slipping. I take it out after every bath and hang it up to prevent the moldy buildup and plan to change it out often.
