Bathroom Colors

My upstairs, full bath has black and white tiles- I do not plan on taking these out...
Right now the walls are white
I would like to paint the walls a different color but I am not sure what would look good.

I like that I am able to add different colored towels and it all looks nice

My shower curtain and valance is white lace and the honeycomb "blinds" are white as well...

Re: Bathroom Colors

there was a girl on thenest a long time ago that had B&W tiles & she painted her walls a really pretty soft blue & it looked awesome. she used B&W accessories & B,W & blue towels. It was sort of retro looking, but so classy.
I'm not sure if she is still on there.

Re: Bathroom Colors

I have b&w hex floor tiles and white subway tiles...I painted the walls BM Tranquil Blue. I change up the hand towels - from white to blue, white & brown stripes to the current color, rusty-orange. I have b&w prints on the walls and chrome accents.

Re: Bathroom Colors

My bathroom is similar to Colleen's with the white subway tiles, except our floor has just a few black accents around the border instead of being a full black and white mix. We also have black pencil tile running along the bottom of the wall. We sponged our walls green and our shower curtain has wide green stripes but I feel I could paint the walls just about any color and it would work.

Re: Bathroom Colors

I had a b & w bathroom that i left white, but used red towels and accessories.

But If we hadn't moved i was thinking of painting it apple green. I love how that looks with the B & W.

I also like the color that colleen has in her bathroom.

Re: Bathroom Colors

Love apple green with the b&w...my SIL did this in her old apartment.

I think bathrooms should be painted a color that is complimentary to your skin tone. Sounds weird but you're going to be looking in the mirror - surrounded by this color - doing your makeup, looking at your skin, doing your hair.

Me too Chat Icon Green works well with my skin but the apple green in my SILs bathroom so did not!

It's sort of how we wound up with the blue - I have a blouse in a similar color and I'm always getting compliments when I wear it Chat Icon (DH has similar coloring)
