Bathroom question
What look do you prefer if given the choice? Tiles only in the shower and sheetrock in the rest of the bathroom? Or tile in the shower and halfway up the walls in the rest of the bathroom?

Re: Bathroom question
For me, I like tile in the shower and then tile at halfway around the walls.

That's what I was thinking but my BIL who is doing it said, yuck, just do nice neat sheetrock. I guess I'll choose the cheaper option.

Re: Bathroom question
I like the tile option also....or what about wainscotting half way up the wall (over the sheetrock, obviously).

I love that! Can you FM me the price of those tiles? That is the same vanity we have and I love the tile colors. Also do you have pics of the rest of your bath? The floor too? Thanks!

Re: Bathroom question
Definitely tile to the ceiling in the tub/shower area and halfway up the wall everywhere else.

Re: Bathroom question
I prefer it only in the shower area (and not on the ceiling). I do like the look of wainscotting/beadboard around the room.

Re: Bathroom question
We tiled our shower/tub area and the rest of the room has beadboard halfway up, and then sheetrock. I love the look of beadboard.

What's that? . And is it more or less costly than tiling? Thanks!

i LOVE the look as well and have it in the powder room and plan to use again in the guest bath.
it is A LOT less than tile. sold in sheets and either primed or natural. they also sell faux wood and wallpaper beadboard.
here is an example. Image Attachment(s):
