Bathroom reno?
I'm sure this has been posted before, but I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for. We are buying a house and are considering updating the bath on the main floor. Its very standard - vanity with one sink, toilet and shower/tub. There is tile on the 3 walls around the tub to the ceiling, but the rest of the walls are just painted. We would keep everything pretty much the same, just update it - new vanity, new tub and tile (just in the shower area), new toilet and I guess new tile floor. Can anyone give me an estimate on what I should budget for this?
I really appreciate your help.

my DH is a contractor, he says 8000 because he said it's pretty much gutting it.

Re: Bathroom reno?
Thank you. I was thinking it would be around that amount.

Re: Bathroom reno?
It totally depends on the quality of the supplies and materials and whether you will do work yourself or have someone do it for you.

Re: Bathroom reno?
It was ~$7k for the work and an additional $3k for materials when we had our (7'x7') bathroom gutted.

Re: Bathroom reno?
the tiles around the tub will probably be destroyed very hard to remove the tub, without breaking

Re: Bathroom reno?
Thanks. I should have mentioned that we would not do the work ourselves but we would use very basic, stock materials. No fancy glass tiles or anything.
