Bay Windows - What the heck do I put on it?
Does anyone have a bay window? Can you please tell me what kind of window treatments you have on them? Thanks!

I'm not exactly sure if mine is a bay or bow window, but right now I have miniblinds covering each pane (I have 3 different panes) and valances. I am trying to find a really nice valance to put across the top of the window rather above each pane. not sure if I'm making any sense here. Personally I hate my window but it was obviously in the kitchen before we moved in - I like the ledge though!
I don't like verticle blinds, but that's what they had there when we moved in. There's also those parlor curtains - valances and then a curtain part in the middle. What about roman shades??

Ours look over our front and I wanted to have privacy, so I have sheers on tension rods in the windows themselves and then tie up shades over the frame. Does that make sense?
MIL had vertical blinds, but I hate them, I felt like I was living in the dentist's office.

Thanks for all the help! There is a ledge on the crown moulding on the top of the window, and DH doesn't want to cover that. I was originally thinking sheers and panels hung from above the window, but now that won't work.

The tree is in front of it now, but I'll try to take some pics tomorrow, the lighting in there sux.

Our bay window is in the kitchen. We have a valance across the entire top, matching the valance on the other window in the kitchen. Then, we just got the honeycomb style mini-blinds. They really weren't even expensive and now we can splurge on window treatments for our den, which is next up for treatments.
