Bayport-Blue Point School District

We are looking into buying a house in this school district. I know they don't have bussing. I remember meeting a mom from Bayport and asking if they have before and after school care for children whose parents work and can't drop them off or pick them up on time, and the mom said yes.

But now I'm having this horrible nervous feeling that I'm wrong.

Does anyone live in this district, or know if they have care for kids before and after school?

We are supposed to sign the contract on this house this week and I'm freaking out!

I found this about bussing, but didn't find anything about before/after care on the district site...:
Transportation is provided for those children in Kindergarten through grade 8 who live more than two (2) miles and grades 9 through 12 who live more than three (3) miles from the school they attend. Eligible pupils will be given identification cards the first day of school.

Yes...there is a before and after school program there.

My friend lives in the district but doesn't have school aged children yet. She has heard about the before and after school programs as well. Good luck! It is a great area!

I work there...yes there's before and after care. No bussing, except if you live in the Patchogue part of the district (right around Sunrise highway). IT's a great district...I love teaching there!
