Bayside/Whitestone girls - Chinese restaurant?
now that Evergreen is gone  where else do you go? we do delivery from King Chef in Whitestone Shopping center but sometimes I'd like to go to a real restaurant and sit down
any recommendations?

for real chinese food, i usually go into flushing. i hate the traffic but i won't eat anywhere else for chinese.
eta: if u want go to there, i can recommend a few.

I don't live in Whitestone anymore, but when I did, we always went to Evergreen! I loved their eggrolls! That's sad to hear that they are gone. I hope you find another place that you like just as much!

King Yum on Union Tpke by St. John's is very similar to Evergreen.
I LOVE Joe's Shanghai the best. That's on 37th Avenue by the Social Security office in the Downtown Flushing area.
We've been looking for some other local options too since it's been a while since we've had a sit-down Chinese meal. I live by tons of Korean and Chinese restaurants, but I'm afraid they'd be "too" authentic, KWIM...and I wouldn't know what was going on!

I'm in that area and we have such a hard time finding chinese food we both like. We started traveling to fresh meadows, the restaurant is called jade fountain and it's along the LIE service rd.

I grew up in FM. Jade used to be one of my favs until the sold it. Food tastes a bit off to me.

Baybridge is very good...I miss Evergreen though it was cheaper and had great drinks
