BBQ grills
Okay so my husband and i are looking to buy a grill. He loves Weber and is thinking about the grill with the side burner.
Any thoughts or comments on grills? what kind do you have? pros/cons? Is it better to get stainless steal or does that not matter?
TIA.

Re: BBQ grills
Weber is a great grill - It will last a lifetime, but it will also cost a lot more.
I got my grill last winter at Linens and Things. It is stainless Steel. It is 45000 BTU, has the side burner on one side.
It really is an excellent BBQ, and I only paid $199 on sale from $400.
My friend got a 45000 BTU Brinkman - Stainless Steal BBQ from Target for $199 and it is also a Great BBQ.

Thanks Scott! Quick question... is there any advantage to get SS. I realize that its more money so i'm therefore wondering if there is a reason to get it or just the regular colored ones. :scratch

Re: BBQ grills
We have a Kenmore Elite BBQ with the side burner. I love it! I love that I can cook corn or baked beans outside in the Summer without having to turn my stove on. It has 4 seperate sections so that you don't have to turn on the whole thing if you are just cooking for 2.
We got it in stainless steel and we also got a heavy-duty cover. It's still in perfect condition after 2 years.

Re: BBQ grills
we have a Kenmore. We love it and it has 6 burners and a side burner.
We got a warranty on it from Sears and they come maintain in once a year and make sure everything is working properly. It's stainless and we paid $350.

We have a Jenn-Air that we got from Lowe's. DH built the stone around it. We love it. My parents are loyal to Weber and have owned them forever. Also great grills. Image Attachment(s):

WOW your DH is talented...that set up is gorgeous! DH wants to buiild a surround around the grill, but since we have it on our deck I am not sure I'd like a permanent grill sturcture...

Re: BBQ grills
We have decided to go for the Weber too as I have bought the cheap ones and they are so not worth it. They fall apart after 1-2 summers. We bought a charcoal grill last year just to have something but we are looking into the Genesis grill this year. I would like to spend no more than $600.

Yes we want the Genesis grill as well, with the burner on the side. However, when we went to get it at Home Depot, they said that Weber recalled that grill. There was some problem with it and the new ones won't be distributed for a month or so.

I have read that the Weber grills at Home Depot and made just for Home Depot and not as much quality as going to P.C. Richards or a BBQ place. We are going to try either of these out.

I know for a fact this is true for plumbing fixtures. So I wouldn't doubt it for grills........

Yeah, I told my dh we would buy it somewhere else. We went to Lowes the other day just to check them out and they only had one (not physically on the floor though) and it was the cheapest one.
