BCBA
I am starting the classes for my BCBA in January. Am I better off using a BCBA from my school to supervise me or an outsifde person? If I use an outside person how much would it cost for supervision? What does supervision entail?
Thanks!

If you have a BCBA in your school and they are willing to supervise you and are a great fit, I don't see why you wouldn't use them. One of the reasons I started then stopped my classes was because there was noone in my school to supervise me and that would have been a pain in the tush!

I don't have one in my school, so I am going to have to hire someone. I'm starting in the fall.

Re: BCBA
Use the one in your school!!!! It shouldn't cost you anything that way!!! I was lucky to have a supervisor with his BCBA when I needed supervision, so it was free for me.
I provide outside supervision, and while I charge almost nothing (compared to the others out there that can be insane) it still really adds up! Also, your in house BCBA will already know what you have on your plate and really give you on site guidance!
Also, be sure to study! The exam has a 40% passing rate. A great study guide is on Behavior Development Solutions. I highly recommend it. Welcome to the behavior family!!! Let me know if you have any questions!!!!

Re: BCBA
I'm doing mine through my agency. Definitely adds up when you start paying someone!
