BCP Question- anyone take Mirconor or any Progestin-only pill?
I just switched the other day from combination to progestin only because i have a slight sensitivity to estrogen and mild high blood pressure. anyone take progestin-only? or took in the past and have any insight? specifically asking about severe side effects and that sort of thing? thanks!

I took it in the past and had no problems. I will say that my doctor claims my pregnancies were both B.C. "failures" because I became pregnant by stopping the pill midcycle, but I beg to differ! I intentionally stopped taking the pill to get pregnant! I had absolutely no side effects and would still be on it if I could go back to having a period (which I don't on my new pill).

I took Micronor for years. I couldn't take estrogen pills because I would get Migraines.
I had mid cycle spotting. It did get better when I would take my pill at the exact same time each day....down to the minute. Other than the spotting I had no side effects and when I went off I had regular periods right away, which is something most people don't have happen with regular BCP.

Thanks so much! This is good to hear because I've seen some really negative reviews online. But the recurring theme seems to be take at the EXACT same time daily and you drastically minimize any side effects!
I set my phone alarm and have been good with the timing so far!
