Bday Party Start Times?
What time do you usually start your parties?
DH's family always does 3pm. I used to think that was so late. Now its time for DS' 1st bday and we're having debate about it. I wanted 12, he wanted 1:30/2 - which I thought was too inbetween. So now I think I'm just doing 3pm for an early dinner. Its at our house.

We can't do Sunday, otherwise that would definitely be the deciding factor in my house too!

We did 3pm on a Saturday...I liked that. I still had time to do thing before the party, and DS was able to nap, and have some fun

Re: Bday Party Start Times?
DS's first bday party was around noon because he was still taking 2 naps then so it was in between his nap times. Now he takes a nap at 12:30 ish so I'll either be doing it late morning or late afternoon. So really, it revolves around DS's naptime at the time. And Saturdays, always Saturday.
My brother always makes his family parties at 4:00 on a sunday. Soooooo irritating since they live far from everyone and we all have to travel to get to them...on a sunday night. He sees no problem with this but it annoys the pants off me.

this is what we should've done. LOL! We did it at 1 PM and learned it's right at naptime for everyone's kids so everyone came at 2PM.
ETA... well, everyone with kids came a little late.

Re: Bday Party Start Times?
We are having it at 1:00 on a Saturday - mainly because of DS' nap.

Re: Bday Party Start Times?
I would factor in your kids nap time and do it before or after that.
3PM seems like a good time to me.
