Be careful what you agree to online! (Reservation Rewards)
Back in December, I purchased movie tickets off of Moviefone.com. After the purchase, I was offered a $10 off my next ticket purchase coupon. Thinking nothing of it, I clicked it and printed it out. Fast-forward to today. Usually DH pays the bills and I just throw them on his computer desk. I was going to make an online purchase, but I wanted to make sure that I had enough money on my credit card when I noticed a $9 charge for a company called Reservation Rewards. I had never heard of this company so I looked back at previous monthly statements and it turns out that I've been paying this $9 fee for the last 8 months. I couldn't believe it! DH never questioned it, because he assumed it was something I willingly signed up for. I called the company and after threatening to contact my credit card company and complain of fradulent charges, they offered a full refund. So, moral of the story, be careful what you click on/sign up for online!!! I know I'll be checking my own credit card statements from now on.

That happened to me too a while ago and I was so pizzed. I couldn't find anywhere that they said they were charging me. Plus I have seen it a couple of times on different websites after I make a purchase.

That happened to me also- I have no idea what I "signed" up for but one day I looked at my bank statement and there was that $9 charge for Reservation Rewards. I couldn't believe it! I'm glad you got a refund, I just cancelled- I wish I had disputed it.

That's what got to me that most, that them charging me wasn't even discussed and the fact that moviefone.com just GAVE them my credit card number. The customer service rep I spoke with said that they "state it clearly" that after 30 days, you will be charged. Must've been stated clearly in some super fine print.

If it had just been a month or two, I probably wouldn't have bothered, but 8 months sure adds up. I'm just glad I noticed it now!

I ordered from a magazine and I automatically got signed up for the same thing. I called up the company Reservation Rewards TWO times because they kept charging my credit card.
