Beaches Family Resorts

Has anyone ever been to one of these? We are thinking of going for our 10 year anniversary next year. We have 3 kids and will want to take them with us because it's hard to leave them with someone for that long. I kind of liked the idea of it being all-inclusive. Was just wondering if anyone had been there and had any input. TIA!

Looks fun I think your kids will like it. My son loves the commercial he always laughs when it comes on. I guess that will e our first baby vacation spot when we get brave enough to take him. Enjoy!

Our company just had a trip to Moon Palace in Cancun. Gorgeous property. All-inclusive. The people that brought kids highly recommended it for families.

Re: Beaches Family Resorts

My friend went to one in Jamaica and sorry to say, they had an awful time. So did most of the other families there and many left early. I think the ones in Turks and Caicos and Bahamas are supposed to be better, as well as the other one in Jamaica.

I don't think it was the one in Negril. Where are the other locations in Jamaica?

Well there are 2 in Negril... Sandy Bay & a spa one.... Im going to the one in Sandy Bay

The other one in Jamaica is Boscobel... I know nothing about this one....

But have heard nothing but WONDEFUL things about all the beaches...

We are having our vow renewal there, and wanted RJ to come, and since the Beaches have the whole Sesame thing there, I decided that this was the best place!

With our wedding renewal, pictures, airfare, and everything else... it was about 3500....

I wanted to do Turks- but it was almost double!

The website is REALLY helpful!

Tracy- Hayleys mom... might be able to give you some info...

And I also can recommend a fabulous agent!

Re: Beaches Family Resorts

Beaches are great hotels for families! The kids have a great time because there is so much for them to do other than going to the beach or in the pool.

There are 4...
Turks and Caicos (usually the most expensive and a GREAT beach;

Negril (also a GREAT beach but about 1 to 1 1/2 hour drive from the Montego Bay airport)

Sandy Beach (smaller than the Negril one and also GREAT beach and same drive time) and

Boscobel ( in Ocho Rios area, nice beach but can be about a 2 hour drive from the airport)

Moon Palace is the only Palace resort open in Cancun now. They are remodeling the other 3 and are closed until Summer 2007.

Its nice to be able to use my travel agent skills (I was laid off 2 weeks ago)
