Beauty products in carryon
My goal for my 2 trips this year is to just fly with my carryon bag.
With the quart Ziploc bag rule for liquids and gels.....
What are the must have items you would pack for a trip?
For my trips ( Bridal shower and wedding) I am planning on bagging:
small contact lense soulution, sample size perfumes and Aveeno moisturizer, mini hairspray, mini deodertant and toothpaste.
I'm just hoping that my makeup doesnt count becuase it wont fit.

I ONLY travel with carry-on's now. I had my luggage lost too many times. With that said, the only makeup I put in the bag is my mascara (I don't use foundation).

makeup doesn't count - unless you have a real d!ck of a screener.
in the quart-size bag i put: perfume (full 1.7oz) face lotion (small tub of L'oreal) travel size shampoo, conditioner, and body wash, toothpaste - i actually buy the small-size of Christophe hair products at CVS. it's really great quality and for only $2 per bottle
lip gloss, mascara, deodorant can all go through in your carry-on - i never separate these out
i also really like the ponds wipes as makeup remover in place of my normal tub of ponds that's just too big to carry-on
eta: i also carry a purse-size bottle of jergens lotion in my bag - and now that i think about it, i've never separated that out either

I put my lip gloss in the ziplock too.
I've had two different screeners throw out my lip gloss b/c its considered a liquid and was in my carry on and not the plastic bag. It happened to my co-worker as well. Solid lipstick they won't touch but any makeup that's liquid like that is fair game and will depend on who screens you. Especially in Intl airports.
Better to be safe then sorry.

Yes - they tried to throw out my $$$ self tanning cream! I was so annoyed.
FYI - they don't consider contact solution "liquid" at my airport. They consider it "medicine / medical necessity" or something like that...

Re: Beauty products in carryon
I travel a week a month for business and I only bring a bag on the plane.
Mascara, lip gloss, concealer all go in my makeup bag with no problems...same thing with toothpaste...never a problem.
In my zip lock I put -Shamp and cond -moisturizer -Face wash -hair products -eye cream -Acne gel
All of these things I have travel size containers and refill them...works out ok!
