Becareful of using wicker baskets to store toys/books

I got some of those wicker baskets from BRU as a gift and have been using them to store some of Kevin's toys and books in the living room. Well, yesterday he's playing on the floor and I see him chewing on something. It was a big piece of wicker he'd broken off the basket. Thank g*d I got it out because if he had swallowed it, it would have most likely gotten stuck in his throat and done some damage.

I got some clear rubbermaid boxes to use instead. They may not be pretty but I hope they turn out to be safer.

I learned my lesson with wicker baskets when my older son was a baby. Something very similar happened to us and we switched to plastic that day. So scary!!
