bedroom furniture help!
Would you mix "collections" when picking bedroom furniture? I know things don't have to be matchy matchy... just always get nervous when I have to figure out what actually "goes" well and what doesn't.
We found a bedroom set we like and that would fit our small bedroom. BUT the dresser would not fit. So we found a dresser made by the same company, but in a different collection.
They are the same dark wood color. The bed, nightstand, etc are a traditional look - you would probably see something like this at macys. The dresser is a "teen" piece - it is something I would picture being at pottery barn.
I don't know if this will look terrible or bother me the rest of my life.
I was thinking I could change the knobs on everything so they all match and maybe that would bring it together a bit. The one set has silver-ish knobs and the dresser has brassy-ish knobs.
Thoughts? TIA!!!
(tried to post pics, but not working. The "set" is Lyndhurst from Costco and the "teen" dressser is Grayson from Costco). (They are both made by a company called UNiversal.)

Re: bedroom furniture help!
Absolutely! I am not a fan of the matching sets. All the furniture in my house (aside from the guest bdrm) are separate pieces. I love to mix and match. It is more fun, interesting and creative.

Re: bedroom furniture help!
Thank you! I'm still nervous though, so here's a shameless bump.
