bedtime schedule

DD is almost 3 months old and she goes to bed sooo late usually between 11pm and 1 am. How can I switch it around so that we are maybe 8/9 pm or so... any advice???
TIA

Re: bedtime schedule

My DD is 11 weeks and for the last couple of weeks I ahve been moving her bedtime earlier just by pushing it 15minutes earlier every couple nights. She was going to be at 11-12 and tonight went to bed at 8:30. She continues to sleep until 6-7am no matter what time she goes to bed so it seems like it worked!

Re: bedtime schedule

I think the gradual increments, like AP said, is the best route. Any other method will more than likely just create a cranky DC that doesn't sleep well at all....

Re: bedtime schedule

I agree with the others. Start your routine a little bit earlier every day until you get to the time you want. I only moved DD's bedtime back about an hour but that's how I did it and she goes down so much easier now because she's not overtired when she goes to sleep.
