Beer of the month club? Cigar of the month club?
DH loves microbrews, and I thought it would be a great xmas gift to do a beer of the month club for him - of course, they are crazy expensive, so i may do just a 3 mt plan...
Has anyone ever done a beer of the month club? Ciould you share which clubs you liked, recommend one, share experineces, etc?
Also - does anyone know of cheap ones? And while I'm asking, he also likes cigars - are there any cigar of the moneht clubs? Same thing - experiences, good prices, etc?

I love beer of the month. They are $$$$ though. Maybe if you contact one microbrewery, they may have one. Maybe call Bluepoint, and see if they have one of all BP beers- it may be cheaper.

Re: Beer of the month club? Cigar of the month club?
My brother received it as a groomsmen gift once.
Honestly, it was a PITA because someone had to be home when it was being delivered (UPS or one of the other services). Well, no one was ever home during the day, they would not leave it. He always had to drive a few towns away, on the one night a week their (delivery service's) outgoing facility was opened late, to pick it up.
I'd check to make sure they'd leave it at your door or get it delivered to his office, if he has one. Not sure but I think law prohibits them from leaving it at the doorstep

It seems like a great idea in theory, but it's a total PITA in reality.

Another option for your DH: maybe get him supplies to brew his own beer? I did this for DH two Christmases ago, and we do it together. It's fun and we try a new recipe kit each time. It's expensive at first to set up, but then it's only $30 for a kit to make 44-48 beers. You re-use bottles and just need to buy the recipe kit and more bottle caps.
