Being dischared from EI... (long)

So my son just received an IQ test through EI for his transition evals. We just got his scores back and his IQ was on the high side of average, which is great. But now they are discharging his ED services as of Sept. 20th, before his IFSP is up.

He will still continue his speech for now, and 1x60 parent training, until Dec. 31st. when he ages out. He was getting ED 4x60.

Anyway, I'm really worried because he just started preschool, and he does still have some behavior issues. I called his EIOD and I'm waiting to hear back from her.

I am registering him for the district on Wed. I'm not sure if he will qualify for anything, but I have to try because I feel he really needs it at least for behavior.

Has anyone ever had this happen to them? Any advice?

This sort of came out of no where, and I'm grateful don't get me wrong, but I'm still really nervous.

TIA

ETA: By behavior issues I mean he has a little trouble following directions, and he will sometimes hit. Chat Icon I am consistant with discipline, but I'm worried about school.

A good preschool teacher may be the only thing he needs - a lot of kids have those type of "behavior problems" when they haven't been in a school setting. However, if he is really a concern, the preschool teacher should voice her concerns, and if its an issue you feel warrants services again, he will go through a CPSE eval process similar to the EI process, and he may get a SEIT to come with him to school.

Thank you. I def. feel I have him in the best place for him, so we will see how he does. We are only 3 days in so far, one day was difficult for him. I guess we will just wait and see now.
