This is me at this very moment. I think I have strept throat, Ava did NOT sleep last night and JT is working today and no one in my family is free to come give me some relief todayChat Icon

Yup! I had a 103.5 degree fever when Bella was only 2 months old. I made my DH take a day off work and the rest of the week my mom took her for me. I didn't want to get her sick!

Feel better!

Try to get family to help you in anyway possible -- even if it is coming over and just doing errands/meals whatever ---

and try to nap when the baby does! No excuses!

Feel better!

I asked my ob/gyn at my six week appointment whether or not anyone had ever dropped dead of exhaustion from being a new mom. You should be relieved to learn that the answer is no.

Its awful in the beginning, but it does get better, I promise!!! Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

It does get better! I got proper flu the day my husband went back to work, but I had to soldier on! It does get better!!! We just hit the six month mark and believe you me, I never ever thought we would make it.

But you will! Hang in there.

I AM SO GLAD SOMEONE ASKED A DOCTOR THAT QUESTION......."has anyone ever dropped dead from exhaustion?" - I seriously feel like I was going to die the other day - the fight with hubby wasn't helping either!!!!!!!!!

Well, we soldier on, right?!

Thanks to all!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I ended up so sick I was hospitalized for a week when Lauren was 3 weeks old (I had a kidney infection it turns out). The key to it all is having help! DH had to stay home all week and my mom, dad, MIL and sister all chipped in, even when I got home because I was still so sick!
