I am going to Belgium (Brussels) for five days in July. Does anyone have any good recommendations for restaurants or things to do? TIA

Don't miss the underground art gallery, the Jacques Brel Museum, and that statue of the little boy peeing. Its a long time since I was there, but its a nice city. Eat waffles!!!

Re: Belgium
We went to Belgium as part of our HM and loved it! Since you are there for 5 days, take a day trip to Brugge...a MUST see.

I second this. Brugge is a quick train ride away (about an hour I think) and sooo beautiful! We were there in February when it was COLD so I can only imagine how much nicer it will be in July!
Drink lots of beer - not to get drunk necessarily, but to really enjoy the different flavors and such. Beware, however, that many Belgian beers have a high alcohol content.
And have mussels and fries!! DH and I went to this little seemingly hole-in-the-wall place that was awesome (DH had been there with a co-worker when he was there for work). Unfortunately I don't know the location, but I know it's called Bij Den Boer and has a blue exterior.
Have fun!!
