Bellmore Family dentist....
anyone use them? DH's dental S U CKS!!!! and doesnt cover any pediatric dentists ... i have to take my 3 1/2 yr old bc she says one of her back teeth hurt.... i know how impt it is that the first experience bc a good and positive one... im still scarred from my dentist who btw was my uncle...
if u use them how good are they?

They are amazing...but PRICEY. I spent a couple of hundred on about 15 minutes of a check-up at 3 years old. Since then we drive to the ONE approved doctor they have on DH's plan...in Hempstead. Turned out to be a really nice guy and we'll go back again in 6 months.

o good u put my mind at ease.... did they do anything special that u felt helped make the sitiuation more comfortable for DD?

My family all goes to Bellmore Family Dentistry (I have a 5.5 yr old and 3 yr old - 5 yr old has been going since he was 3.5yrs). Great dentists. The hygenists do most of the work and then the dentist comes in and double checks. Dentists aren't super friendly but are good. Sue the receptionist is so sweet and easy to deal with. She dose her best to fit you in when you need to come in.
My tips for your 3.5 yr old - Make sure you see Denise as the dentail hygenist. She is so sweet and will make the appointment most enjoyable for your child. I used someone else a few weeks before and she was fine just not as easy going and sweet as Denise is. They have tv's in the office so go during a time when the morning programming is on and they can put on Nick Jr or Disney channel. My 3yr old loves tv so he just stared at the TV the whole time and they did their thing. (I took him a month before to see my 5 yr old have a checkup and learn what it is all about. He was all excited to go but the day we had to go he freaked out and went nutso and he is not like that at all. Once we got there and tv turned on - his tune changed and all went well.)

We use them and my kids really like them. My dd keeps asking when she can go again, how weird is she?
