Belly sleeping...
anyone allow their DC to do it? And at how old? I actually let DD do it last night and was a nervous wreck. She will be 5 mos on 3/6 and has not been sleeping well. She was exhausted so I rolled her to rub her back and out she went.

Re: Belly sleeping...
I allowed both of my kids to sleep on their bellies from the get-go. Both had very good head control and could move their heads from side to side. At 5 months I would allow her to sleep on her belly.

Re: Belly sleeping...
I let Ava sleep on her belly from about 4 weeks on for a couple of reasons. One, she was able to roll to her belly since she's 4 weeks old and there wasn't much stopping her. Two, she had bad reflux and I had horrible visions of her refluxing in her sleep and choking on it, and three, she simply slept better. I truly believe her belly sleeping is what contributed to her sleeping through the night at 6-7 weeks old. She also had phenomenal head control, so I never really worried as much as I thought I would.

Re: Belly sleeping...
Thanks so much...I think I am going to let her. She has only rolled a couple of times, but her head control is excellent and she can lift herself up on her hands.
