Bergman/Morris-Rush
My RE recommended the Bergman/Morris-Rush practice to me after all the issues I have had with Dr Klein...
I am seeing Dr Bergman for a consult at the end of Feb - we are not yet preg but any day now!
I have heard wonderful things about Bergman and had a high risk preg (badddd gest diabetes) with ds...
Any words of wisdom on this practice? I really like that they have an office in Woodbury and Great Neck - makes things somewhat more convenient for us south shore folks!

I use Dr. Marchbein in that practice and I LOVE LOVE LOVE him. I go to the Great Neck office.

By the way - I was told by the receptionist that they do all their scans and monitoring in house in the great neck office - is this correct?
I was prev with the Rifkin/Kaufman practice (before Klein) but their radiologist is no longer taking my insurance

I, like you, switched to this practice after being with another practice that I didn't care for. But yes, they do have a radiologist who does all the scans at the office which is very convenient.

GREAT - Thanks!
Are you high risk as well? I will potentially be high risk thanks to the GD and the insulin that i needed last time so Bergman would most likely be my primary...

Is Bergman the only "high risk" -- i know morris-rush is just reg right?

I loved Bergman. He delivered (c-sect) my second child. We moved and he is just too far for me now but he is an awesome doctor!

Bergman delivered my son in February last year and I LOVE him. I have seen all the Dr's in the practice and would highly recommend them. Good luck

Bergman is nice...a little bit of a sarcastic sense of humor, which doesn't bother me...but I know a friend who stopped seeing him because of it.
In June I had emergency surgery with Dr. Marchbein - he was AMAZING!!!! He was great to me, my family, and really made me feel safe at a really scary time.
The ONLY complaint I have is that you will wait on hold forever to get through to the great neck office. I had a long talk with the office manager about it the other day, and she promised me she is working on it...but if you can - see him at the woodbury office!

I agree about the amount of time you wait on hold. But I learned a little trick....don't press 3 (waiting to schedule an appt)---press 2- the emergency line. I've apologized for doing it but told them I wasn't going to wait on hold for 15 minutes to get through to someone to get blood results.

I go to this practice and LOVE dr bergman. I have had many miscarriages and I am now pregnant for the 5th time. Dr Bergman has been soo awesome and supportive and has seen me every week (plus some) for a sono to help ease my mind..I have also seen Dr Morris Rush and she was very nice as well. I personally prefer the woodbury office to the great neck..more mellow and the staff always answer the phone...not a recording but i have gone to both offices alot.
