Beside California Closets
As most of you know, I need to get custom closet doors made (for size purposes). My MIL actually offered to pay for them, which was so sweet, as a housewarming gift. Beside California Closets, does anybody else know resonably priced Closet companies? Its just the doors, I so don't need an organizer. Thanks!

Re: Beside California Closets
We had floor to ceiling sliding closet doors - that I hated. We wound up purchasing doors from a local lumber yard and hired a GC to install them - instead of getting custom doors we had him frame out the area to accommodate the new 6' doors.
I looked into doors at closet companies and most of them dealt with mirrored sliders - not our thing.

see we thought about that, but I really do love the floor-to-ceiling closets. I know they do make them raised panel (not just glass). Thanks though

Re: Beside California Closets
We have custom closets in our BR that go floor to ceiling and are 96" wide. I'm not a fan of sliding doors at all so we have 4 mahogany cabinet doors instead. They were installed by the carpenter who did the closets. If you're getting any other work done, they usually can handle custom doors as well.

nope, just closets, nothing else needs to be done. Would you be able to take a pic for me? Ours are floor-to-celling at I think around 8 feet-10 feet wide. Thanks so much!!

Re: Beside California Closets
I am not sure if they do them or not but we have had all of our closets (the inside of them) done by Huntington Closets. If they don't do it they might be able to recommend someone. They are the nicest people and are so reasonable. Good luck

Re: Beside California Closets
Check out Anthony's Closets. I don't know how they are pricewise but I've heard good things about their work and they're not that far from where you live.

Re: Beside California Closets
We did the system in our walk-in closet ourselves. We went for Closetmaid from Lowes. It took a couple of tries before we got the right configuration, but your DH should have no problem if he's a tradesman.
I will post pictures tonight now that I finally have a new digital camera.

Sorry, I just saw that. When I needed new closet doors in my co-op I got them from Lumber 84. They were custom size double 6-panel. I loved how they came out.
