Besides Home Depot and Lowes does anyone know a store on long island that sells wooden stair parts?
Hi we have a contractor coming next week to work on our stairs and I need a newel and spindles. I want a craftsman look and home depot and lowes does not carry what I am looking for. Any ideas?

Thanks, does anyone know of a lumber yard on LI that may carry wooden stair parts? I tried riverhead building supply in Npt but you had to order the pieces in advance

there is deer park stair company in bayport
most have to order pieces -
burt's lumber in huntington sells spindals - they can tell you lead time

HB Millwork in Medford. We got our stair parts from them. WHatever you are looking for...they have it

Try Burt Lumber in Huntingon (on Park Ave).

I just went on there website and checked out their portfolio - it appears that they did all the stairs at the east wind!
