Re: best book on pregnancy
I have the Pregnancy Journal and love it. Every night my husband and i before we go to bed read about what is going on with the baby and then food facts and how my body is changing. You periodically write down how you are feeling and your weight and your waist. We enjoy finding out every night something new. If you are interest FM me and I will let you know the author since there are 2 or 3 of them.

Re: best book on pregnancy
Great Expectations is really really good.
It gives you week-by-week, and also a lot of information about diet & nutrition, labor, baby items, you name it.
I also have Your Pregnancy Week by Week, which is okay, but gives you a lot of extra info that really isn't too helpful.

Re: best book on pregnancy
I have the newley revised "What To Expect" book and I am really liking it.
I haven't read any others yet, but "The Pregnancy Book" and "The Baby Book" by Dr. William Sears were highly recommended to me as excellent guides for pregnancy and beyond.
My husband was with me when I bought "What to Expect" and he picked up "The Caveman's Pregnancy Companion" which he finished in about 2 days and found really helpful. It approached pregnancy with humor but had some excellent advice and took a serious tone when needed. He felt a lot more informed (and involved) after reading it.
