Best brand for plain old onesies?
Baby Bargains says to steer clear of Gerber but that is all that BRU seems to carry in terms of packaged plain onesies.
They said Carters are good- but not the ones from Target (Just one year by Carters)
So which do you find are the best in terms of holding up, washing well, not shrinking etc? And where do you get them?
I'm stumped!!

Carters from the actual Carters store. I hate the Target ones and Gerber are the WORST.
Also, the Children's Place are good, if a bit more $$

Is the Carter's Outlet just as good? The outlet stores are closer to me than any other Carter's store...

I think they shrink a lot- Baby Bargains had them on the Don't Bother list of clothign brands. But I have no experience so I can't say.

They shrink sooooo much. If you're going to use them (I still do although because they're more accessible) then you should buy a size bigger than DC is wearing so you get adequate use out of them.

They shrink like CRAZY. Pretty much useless after one wash. Also, the fabric is so thin it is practically translucent.

Re: Best brand for plain old onesies?
hated Gerber.
Carters are good.
I'm in LOVE with the baby gap ones. They are soo soft & material isnt tight around the arms. They wash excellent, dont shrink and all stains come out. They are expensive, so I only buy them when they have a sale (like right now).

No, they are on hangers...usually in bundles of like 4 or 5.
I use the Gerbers and really haven't had any problems with them...they do shrink, so I get one size up.

i actually like the spasilk onesies. you can get them from amazon or bru online. they are much softer, better material and hold up through the wash.

Re: Best brand for plain old onesies?
Oh how funny, I LOVED Gerber onesies with my daughter. She was so skinny, they hugged her body really nicely. I never had problems with them shrinking. Maybe they've changed them since. But I agree with everyone else, the Carter's ones are great. I just find them a little too thick in warmer weather, which is why I liked the thin ones from Gerber.

Re: Best brand for plain old onesies?
I agree about Gerber...they started getting holes after one wash.
I LOVE Target's brand onesies....Circo. Good quality and they last forever. Carter's is good too (from the Carter's store), but a bit pricey.

Re: Best brand for plain old onesies?
Carters are the best. My DS can still fit into a 12 month carters and he is 22 months old. Gerber he is wearing 24 months and after washing them, they are snug.

I HATED the Gerber ones - shrunk after the first wash and wore out very easily!
