Best Buy's Return Policy Sucks...
I bought DVD Player @ BB a couple weeks ago and decided to return it yesterday and purchase another model which Best Buy doesn't carry. I paid cash for the Player and when I returned it they wouldn't give me my money back. The clerk said they have a $250.00 or less cash refund policy and because the Player cost more then $250.00 they would mail me a check for the refund amount and it should take 7 or so days. I heard of this policy for those who paid by check but never by cash.

I had a TERRIBLE time with them - I will NEVER EVER buy anything from them again.
I bought a sirius radio, took it home and it didn't work. I returned it the next day and they wouldn't take it because the sku on the box and the sku on the radio didn't match - they never checked when I bought it, but they checked when I returned it.
I got into a HUGE fight with them at the store and at the corporate level - they were SO unhelpful.
It took 8 months, but I finally convinced someone at sirius to exchange the radio - with no help from best buy!

My brother bought a laptop from BB. Something went wrong with it and they shipped it out. He was w/o the laptop for a few weeks and then told they weren't repairing it and only issued him store credit. The warranty he purchased with it did absolutely no good. He was given the run around BS.... In the end he bought another laptop and had to put more $$ towards it. He got the first one at a great price and nothing comparable in price, etc. with the 2nd one.

i hate that store - i won't shop there.
I was given a TV as a gift and it wasn't HD, so I was swapping it for one at Costco. My aunts paid cash for it, but they wouldn't give me cash back! I tried to supplement the overage (over $250) with other products.... I walked over to the computer peripherals and asked the employee a simple question about compatibility....his response? "Uh, I don't know. Just buy them both and return the one that sucks."
UH, yeah. HELPFUL.
