On the BBC news this morning they kept showing clips of the part where he talks about how historic this is for African Americans and I thought he dwelled on race a little too much. But now that I've read the whole thing, I thought it was a great speech. Really gracious and indicative of a great politician who's above party politics. When he said Obama was "the man who will be MY president" I got chills.

I never doubted his sincerity, I wish that he could have spoken more like that throughout the campaign. I know he willl go back to doing his job of fighting for what he believes is best for the USA.
I still say the man deserves mad props for keeping the schedule he did for all of those months!

I am so moved.
i agree!!! he truly is a good, dencet and honest man. He proved through that concession speech what dignity and grace he has.

I supported Obama. But I did like McCain too. I thought his speech was amazing last night. I really did. He would not have been a bad president at all.

I agree. Although I did not vote for him, I have alot of respect for him. That was a great speech.

McCain's speech truly was phenominal. He was humble and gracious. I don't think he could have delivered a better speech.
