when I read the original post, I knew it was a joke about african americans overcoming adversity.... basically the opposite of racism...
I read it as a proud black commentary and pun on the term 'when pigs fly' (as if it will never happen.... when voila! pig flu! 
sometimes, I think any comment concerning race is misinterpreted as racist, merely becuase the existence of races and racism is acknowledged....
sort of sad that a little clever joke has degraded into a thread like this...
ITA - I took it the opposite - like a proud commentary - I never see the "racist" or "obnoxious" viewpoints on posts like these...maybe I am slow.

I thought it was funny...not racist.
