Best family-friendly HYBRID car?
I'd love to get a hybrid. I commute from Nassau to central Queens daily. But I have two children (6 and 4) and my car is the primary family car. I need space: storage for groceries, suitcases for road trips, etc. I think the Prius V is my best bet, but I'll gladly take suggestions for other options. TIA!!

My friend has a Hybrid Hyundai Sonata and loves it. She drives a lot daily for her commute and has two kids as well. It's very roomy.

We have a Toyota Camry hybrid and it's really great. Lots of truck room and it's a typical 4-door inside.

Dh is picking up a 2017 Honda accord hybrid. He wants it to use the HOV as a clean pass car. It's really roomy, has decent trunk space. He is getting the EXL which comes fairly loaded. We got a great deal on it too.

I also commute to Queens daily. I am debating buying a Honda Accord Hybrid. I previously drove an Accord and it is roomy inside (biggest rear seat for sure) and has a generous trunk. The Rav4 also comes in a hybrid now too.

As a long distance commuter - all the cars mentioned above are great! Kia Optima Hybrid is another one

Just a hybrid. I don't really drive on the LIE. I travel from central Nassau into central Queens. I like the gas mileage of hybrids (my DH has a Prius coupe and we've saved a ton on gas). I love almost everything about my current SUV but I want something more fuel efficient.

I just saw that! Very exciting. It gets great safety ratings too.

When we were buying our Highlander, we saw the Hybrid Highlander. But the cost differential is extreme and I couldn't justify spending that much on a car. But, I do LOVE my regular Highlander!

The cost difference between the hybrid and non-hybrid is not too big either. The mileage isn't amazing but for an SUV in that class it is tops. The Accord seems to do really well in traffic, supposedly better mpg than the Prius.
