Best Flea-Prevention?
April is here and I'm running over to Petco today to pick up flea-prevention for my dog. What does everyone recommend? I think we used Advantix last year.

We have used Frontline plus for over two years and never had a flea. We also used to live right next to Alley pond park and were in there every day with large groups of dogs. The stuff works great.

We use frontline. Been using it for years. WE take the dogs to the parks all the time during the spring summer and have never had one flea.

I use Frontline and theres been to ticks or fleas in 3 years Thank God!

Once I found a Tick on my moms sheltie. A year later she wound up with Lymes disease from that tick. I found it on her in February, so at the time we were not using anything because i thought it was too cold for fleas or ticks. And we dont live in a wooded area and she was not going to any parks at the time. Because of this we use frontline all year round.

We have found ticks on Misty using Frontline, but they are dead or dying.
Apparently whatever is in Frontline will kill the ticks when they start to dig in.
Either way, we have never had an issue removing the ticks and she is in the woods where there are deer every morning for about an hour, plus we take her to dog parks and woods all the time.

Frontline Plus...fleas and ticks will be dead within 48 hours and treatment lasts 30 days.
