best minivan alternatives?? please suggest!
With a second on the way we are looking to get a bigger car and was wondering about bigger suv type car recommendations instead of minivans. I currently have chevy equinox and wanted something bigger. I know it will cost more but trying to keep it as close to $30,000 (or lower!) as I can. Thanks!!

When we were looking, we liked the Chevy Traverse and it was very roomy. We needed to fit 3 carseats comfortably. We ended up with the GMC Acadia Denali and I LOVE it!! Very roomy and perfect for a family of 5+.

Ok... SO I have a Honda Pilot and I LOVEEEE IT... but I am also going on my 2nd and I am having issues with the car seat... I literally just had them installed today, and the infant seat makes the front driver or passenger seat go SOOOOO Forward that if you or your hubby is tall its very uncomfortable...
Good Luck!

I have a Pilot and love it. It's wider than the Equinox so an adult can fit comfortably between the two seats in the back.
The only downfall is that it's difficult to access teh third row - I usually climb in through the trunk when we use it. IF you are looking for something to use the third row - I have friends/family with the Acadia and they love it.

I have an Acadia & I love it! It has 3rd row seating & we have the captain's chairs in the middle. There is lots of room & it's such a great truck. The only down side is that the gas mileage is awful. I do mostly local driving and average 13mpg.
My dh has a big pickup truck now that we use to haul stuff & I'm not carting around the double stroller anymore (the kids are 1 & almost 4), so when my lease is up I'm probably going to get something smaller again. I'm actually considering the Equinox lol

I have the Mazda CX9 and love love love it! 3 rows- although most times, I keep the 3rd row down for the extra trunk space. It looks large but it drives just like a car so it was an easy conversion for me

We have the new Traverse. LOVE IT. Very room and even with the 3rd row up there's plenty of trunk space. The 2nd row is captains seats so it's easy to get everyone in and out

We want the Acadia, but it's more like 40-45K unless it's pre-owned. the traverse might be a bit cheaper as Chevy is usually priced lower than GMC. I'm a loyal GMC customer though.

We have the 2013 7 passenger Santa Fe. It has 3rd row seating and the middle seats are captain chairs so you can walk to the third row. We have three kids and it fits them and all the crap that comes along with them. I love it.
