best place to buy carpet? anyone recently check prices?
we live in levittown...
should we go to home depot, lowes or a regular carpet store?
anyone recently checked all the prices?

we bought carpet last month.
originally i had thought empire had the best prices. we had them come and measure, and we set a date for them to install.
out of curiosity, we called home depot and had them quote us a price for the same carpet
we saved 400 dollars by using home depot!
It was a shock to me too, usually empire will beat the price of their competitor, but when i spoke with them, they said that since oct, they were under strict rules that they couldnt alter prices.

wow... $400 is alot of money!!
we used empire when we moved in and did 2 rooms and the stairs... i wonder how much we got ripped off by...
we have a small room 16x10... we'll check out home depot this weekend... plus we have gift cards too!!

We looked at Lowes and Home Depot. Home Depot was much less expensive so we went with them.
