Best place to sell a car?
I know I've done this before, but we HAVE to get rid of it...
Dh doesn't want to be bothered with ads and such...would rather sell it to a Car Cash type place or a gas station
anyone have any recommendations?

Well, you know I went to Car Cash in the city and I guilted them to give me more than they wanted to. I got my cash right on the spot (well, check).

put it on craigslist. I bet there will be at least a few responses and 1 will be from someone who just buys and sells cars. If you're willing to do car cash at least these guys will give you a little more for it, or at least that was our experience. They don't give you book value but CC gives you WAY under book value.

I put an ad on craigslist saying the first person to get to my house after 9am with the amount I was asking gets it. I had about 15 people show up, the first guy that got there was some sort of car buyer, he didn't even drive it.
I could have gotten more but didn't want to deal with the nonsense.

yes, I asked for cash only- no checks, etc. and we got it.. it was very quick and worth it.

I definitely recommend trying to sell on Ebay also. My FHs family buys and sells all their cars on there. its great
