Best places for maternity clothes?
I'll be on LI soon and plan to go shopping for maternity clothes. I'm a smaller size now and my maternity pants from last time are huge. I haven't been thrilled with the selection near me and am hoping to find more options in NY. With my last pregnancy, I had a lot of luck with the store in the Source Mall, but I know that closed.
I'm specifically looking for work pants and suits. I know there's a maternity store in Carle Place and Macy's now carries some maternity clothes. Are there any other stores near there that have a good selection of work attire? I'd rather try things on in the store as opposed to buying online.

The Gap at Roosevelt Field has a maternity dept. I've had luck getting nice work pants from there

Re: Best places for maternity clothes?
For work pants, I did well in JC Penneys. I also got a pair in Macy's, but their maternity dept. is Motherhood Maternity. For sweaters, I did well in the the Gap.
I know you would rather not shop online, but I recently got nice tops from loft.com and gap.com. I wasn't looking for suits though.

Re: Best places for maternity clothes?
We could have traded because I am much larger this pregnancy!
Do you need to wear suits? I love the Motherhood Maternity dress pants, so I have them in every color, and then bought regular sized jackets or open drape cardigans and pair with a maternity t, blouse, or tank. My office isn't too formal so I can get away with this, and may be able to use the cardigans after PG.

Re: Best places for maternity clothes?
I was at Destination maternity last night in carle place. The ladies were very helpful and many clothes were decent priced. They had very nice suit type clothes- i too work in an office so it is business casual. I was able to find many pants, jeans and shirts that fit, and they helped me with sizes. They have a lot of selection- different styles. Good luck..

If I'm in the office, I can wear business casual clothes. I prefer to wear a suit or blazer for certain meetings, but can probably get away with a dress or button down type of shirt. The only time I really need a suit or blazer is when I have a hearing. I can definitely get away with some of my larger suit jackets for a while, but I probably need to get at least 1 maternity suit at some point. I have at least 3 maternity suits from my last pregnancy, but they're huge.
ETA: I saw A Pea in the Pod suits that I liked, but I refuse to spend close to $250 on an outfit that I'll wear for 5-6 months.

Re: Best places for maternity clothes?
I like the dress pants at Destination Maternity. As long as you make it clear to the salespeople that you're not interested in the expensive Pea in the Pod stuff, they have some good deals. Once I found a style that fit me well, I bought a few different colors/patterns and I've been happy with them. I haven't checked out their blazers but I'm sure you could find some there.
ETA- I've never paid more than $50 for pants there. Most likely not more than $40!

Re: Best places for maternity clothes?
I've gotten a decent selection of work pants and tops from Target believe it or not! Also Destination Maternity (especially online) and some more casual stuff from Old Navy. Gap has a nice selection of pants too but didn't love their selection of work tops really.
