Best places on south shore to see fireworks on the 4th?

Years ago we went to Jones Beach and it took 2 & 1/2 hours to get out of the parking lot once it was all over.

Someone recently recommended Cedar Creek Park?

Are there any good spots that have great views but aren't too overcrowded like Jones Beach was?

thank u very much

We go to Wantagh Park every year. You see most of the the Jones Beach show. Some of the lower stuff you miss from the trees being in the way, but it's worth not sitting in all the traffic to me.

A lot of people go, the parking lot fills up and people park on the local streets and walk in. Many of them bring radios to listen to the simulcast. Most people set up on the grassy areas around the pool all the way at the south end of the park.

I'm sure it's a similar situation at Cedar Creek.

It's not a BIIIIIIIIIG show - but we like the Fireman's Fair in East Islip. We wander around, eat junk and watch the kids go on the rides.

Then we unpack our blanket and watch the Grucci made stars light up the night.

I know, Jones Beach was a nightmare the time I went.

I don't know about tomorrow but I know on Friday there is a concert at 8pm and fireworks at 9pm in Long Beach between Long Beach Boulevard and Riverside Drive.

We usually go to Florence Ave. beach in Massapequa. You can see the Jones Beach fireworks from there as well.
