Best places to go with a two year old on Long Island?
I'm going to be staying with my parents on Long Island all of next week. I moved away before having my daughter so I don't know of all the good places to go. Long Island Game Farm? Atlantis Aquarium?
My parents live right on the Nassau-Suffolk border, but I'd be willing to travel between Queens and Riverhead for a fun place to go!
So whats good for toddlers?

We went to the aquarium when DD was 7 or 8 mths and she loved it.
You can do White Post Farm that is right in Melville.

My girlfriend always does the Game Farm when she comes up with her 4 and 2 year olds.
They also usually go to the beach. We grew up in Miller Place, so they like that sound beach. I don't think they've ever done the aquarium, but it sounds like fun to me, so she will probably like it.

Thats a great idea for a 2 year old.
The aquarium is small, you'll be out of there in less than an hour.

You can also go to the movie theater at exit 62 - they have a kids movie on the weekends.

I agree with LICM and White post farms, and they are pretty close by to you.
(look for coupons for LICM in the Ent Book). and coupons for WPF online.
Im not sure I would drive out to Riverhead for the Aquarium... I havent been in a while, but she'd have just as much fun at WPF and so much closer.
any parks with sprinklers in that area ? anything with water!
someone mentioned movies. I think there is the free movie for moms and kiddies all summer. not sure of details, sorry.
and there are concerts in parks all over LI, so check with the nearby parks depts, since Im sure you will most likely need your town sticker. Hecksher (Huntington) has kids concerts also. I think it was Thurs nites ?

How about Adventureland in Farmingdale...or the Aquarium in Queens? Coney Island? Also the Hall of Science in Queens has a new play area for kids.

Cedar Creek Park in Seaford has a great toddler playground.
Wantagh Park has a community pool with a big toy play area. They also have a playground, it's not as new as Cedar Creek.
Seamans Neck Park in Seaford has these big sprinklers and misters for kids to run through.
I've heard good things about the Theodore Roosevelt Nature Center at Jones Beach but we haven't been yet.

You may be able to park on the road and walk in. If they ask you for anything just say oh I just walked here--the sprinkler part and the rest of the park is really neat-they have animals and walking trails.
I always lobeds Bethpage Restoration as a kid-it would be interesting for you too...not sure if she's too young
