It's expensive & unless it's on sale, I buy the no antibiotic, no hormone Harvestland brand at BJ's .
I feel that Stop & Shop has some decent prices though and I ALWAYS get it on sale & buy a bunch & freeze it!

I would love to try to talk my family members in to going in and buying a 1/2 or 1/4 cow from an organic farmer.

That's a tough one because I find organic meat to be expensive no matter where I go, even at Trader Joe's. But I usually buy mine at either Whole Foods or Fairway. They have a pretty nice selection.

We buy the stop and shop "nature's promise" brand. It is more expensive, but reasonable.

I usually get it at whole foods. If they don't have what you're looking for, ask the butcher. I found they are so accommodating.
I agree also about the Nature's Promise from Stop and Shop. I stock up when it's on sale.

Don't know about best prices but I have gone to a place in Huntington Wild By Nature and didn't find the prices to be too bad. They had a big selection too.
