Union county schools are a million times better than Mecklenberg so I would look there.
Waxhaw is a great place to live with a great SD, so is Indian Trail.
ETA: both of those are in Union County
Also.. close by Fort Mill SC is an AMAZING SD. Top SD in all of SC and it is 10 min from Charlotte.

I have heard great things about Fort Mill, SC, and also Union County schools. Good luck!

Charlotte is in Mecklenburg county which is one very large school district. Some areas are better than others. They are constantly changing which schools your area goes to because there is so much building. My sisters family has been in Charlotte for 18 years . Her kids all went to Providence High School and they were very happy there.

Each county is a school district so it is tough because some schools within the district are good, others not. South Charlotte is generally good, I live in Harrisburg which is in Cabarrus county and we have a great district however most other transplants go south.

My friend is a teacher in and also sends her kids to Fort Mill and has NOTHING bad to say about the district.

Providence is private:) they are actually a client of mine. I would look at union, or cabarrus.

Providence hS is public....I think you are thinking of providence day school...very private, very expensive.
Marvin Sd in union county is the best.
Myers park in Charlotte is great...so is providence
Audrey kell in south Charlotte is also good.
Cuthberson in union is really good.

I had bought in waxhaw for the school.
But so did everyone else. Now they are busting at seams and constantly re zoning. You would have to buy next door to school.
