Best Seafood Restaurants on L.I.?
Hi All!
I want to get my parents a really great (BIG) gift certificate to a restaurant on Long Island for their 35th Wedding Anniversary.
The 35th is supposed to be "Jade" or "Coral" or "Nautical"...so I am thinking of doing a seafood restaurant. I'm thinking something on the water, etc.
My dad loves taking rides out east (though, they dont' do wineries). He loves Montauk and I spent many a childhood summer out there (this is becoming a long post).
So without further ado, is there a restaurant you would suggest that might fit my needs?

Unbelievable!!!!!
ETA: oops, out East? Either Gurney's Inn (the Restaurant) or Gosmann's Dock.
Those are the only Seafood places on the water that I know of-- great views.

Does it have to be out East?
Even though I think the owners are scum, Riverbay is one of the best seafood restaurants I've ever been to.
And you'll need the $$$$, they're a little expensive.

Have you been there since the new chef came on? We were suppose to go this past Saturday, but had other plans.
Reservations are only excepted for parties of 6 or more. Well, at least that was the situation last week with the new chef.

indian cove in hampton bays.
it is right on the water the views are amazing- especially at sunset. the staff is excellent and the food is worth walking 10 miles in the snow for.

No I haven't been there since I left. I used to work with the old chef, he was great! He's over at the Boathouse now, same owners.
They never took reservations....

Gosman's Inlet Cafe is my favorite!

Orient by the Sea in Orient
There is a seafood restaurant in Montauk that I cannot think of the name - I think it is by Sterling Harbor....(close to Montauk Yacht Club) -ooooh, I think it is Gossmans or something like that

whenever we go out east we stop at Lobster Inn and it is very yummy!

That is funny you posted this, it was my Parents 35th also on Monday & I was trying to think what to get them and I looked at the Coral & Jade on the list and couldn't come up with anything! This is a great idea Seafood restaurant! I just may have to copy your idea! Thank you

I have to vote for Riverbay also. They have the BEST seafood!!
there's also...
Lobster Inn in Southampton
Lobster Roll in Riverhead & East Hampton
Gosmens in Montuak
but if you want a nice classy place...def Riverbay in Williston Park
