Best Shoes for an early Walker
What shoes do you recommend for an early walker (at home) ?? are sneakers the best??
My DD is 10.5 months and beginning to walk so I need to get her shoes that are good for first time walkers....
I have no clue
TIA!

I used the Stride Rite shoes in the beginning for outside. For in the house barefeet are best.
ETA: The weather is getting colder, socks with grips on the bottom may be a good choice indoors. I know a lot of people who liked the Robeez type slippers but I never got into them.

Re: Best Shoes for an early Walker
DS walks with his shopping cart and if you stand behind him holding his hands so I try to keep him barefoot but it's really too chilly now so I bought the BRU brand robeez. I think I'm going to wait awhile before I get him real sneakers. At least until he really starts walking on his own and is somewhat steady of his feet. Also, with winter coming he's not going to be outside as much.

Re: Best Shoes for an early Walker
If she is walking FT, not just cruising or taking just a few steps I would go to stride rite. DS started FT walking at 10.5 months and we got him shoes from the outlet! But inside we still did barefoot/socks/robeez only.
IF she is still learning, cruising mostly, taking just a few steps I would just stay with the "robeez" type. (I used the Target brand ones)

I agree with the other posters. In the house, I would have her walk around barefoot (your floors are pretty good for that) and for the outside, I would go with Stride Rite. Their shoes are so comfy and soft.
