Best styling product for air-drying curly hair?
I'm pretty much stuck in 1999 when it comes to hair products. I don't have any time to blow out my hair anymore so I wear it curly and I'm disappointed with the few products I've tried. Anyone have any recommendations? Don't want my hair crunchy, frizzy, or flaky (I'm looking at you, Herbal Essences Totally Twisted mousse).
TIA!

I use Aussie Mousse...particularly the sprunch mousse with leave-in conditioner.

L'oreal Ever Curl I use the shampoo, conditioner and the hydracharge leave-in cream (run it through with my fingers while my head is upside down). Scrunch my hair with my hands and let it air dry. Curls are soft and I get a lot of compliments when I wear it down.

I wear my hair curly 99.9% of the time (curlies, unite!) and I diffuse, but I've been using Marc Anthony products for several years now and I think they're the best! Currently using Curl Envy Perfect Curl Cream, but also use Strictly Curls Curl Defining Lotion.

I also need to try something new for my hair. I've been using Garnier curl construct mousse for years and I need to step it up

Re: Best styling product for air-drying curly hair?
I wear my hair curly all the time, but never air dry, always diffuse. Mousses don't work for me, they're part of the crunch problem I find. The gel that works the best for me is Aveda Flaxseed Aloe Gel - it's a liquid gel so it's not that thick gloopy crap (or homemade flaxseed gel). I diffuse then use a pea size dot of the Organix Argan Oil to soften them. I've got hold & softness that last for days.

Re: Best styling product for air-drying curly hair?
I don't use Mousse anymore. It is what makes it crunchy IMO. I use the herbal essecences gel (not too much and I have waist length hair with layers. I use a good dollop. THen I layer on with a crème. I love Sally Herschberger curl crème but, I haven't been able to find it recently. So I just grabbed another type of frizz crème and it's great. Then when its dry or almost dry I finish it with a spray oil like KMS California Hair stay. I have used others but, I find this to be the lightest. It doesn't add grease but, just smooths down the frizzies at the top the top of my head and the dryer pieces that the bottom. I would love to find it in a travel size that I can toss in my purse for those days when I leave the house with my hair still wet.
FWIW.. My stylist is considered the curl guru at her salon. She goes to all types of curl classes and when I told her I used gel and then a crème she said "YES!! That is the best combo"

Agree - this is a great product line. I wear my hair curly and always air dry (I don't own a hairdryer )
I never use mousse. - Always a leave in conditioner (Garnier is my favorite, next to Kerestasse) then a curl creme (the LOreal ever curl is awesome) and a SMALL amount of nexxus gel to finish it off

this. i love the aussie line. been using it for YEARS and it's never failed me.
i start with a leave in condition, then the mousse, then the sprunch spray (not the hairspray). flip over and scrunch with my hands. then i let it air dry.

Would you mind sharing what salon you go to and the name of the stylist? I am looking for someone that specializes in curly hair! Thanks so much
