Re: Best website for ordering flowers online?
I've used ProFlowers and 1800Flowers in the past. I like ProFlowers better since it comes directly and it's not farmed out to your local flower shop

All of the national sites are soooo expensive.
Your best bet is to find a local florist in the area you want them sent and order from them directly.

Re: Best website for ordering flowers online?
I ordered flowers last week from FTD.com and had nothing but issues. I recommend calling a local shop and going from there.

Re: Best website for ordering flowers online?
I never order from 1-800Flowers since they didn't deliver my roses to me from my dh on my wedding day.
Pro-flowers is the one to use!!

Re: Best website for ordering flowers online?
I usually use Teleflora (have a good selection), but you have to be careful... I ordered a vase of flowers for my Mom last month, they were delivered, and it wasn't what I ordered! They used a really cheap vase and mostly "filler flowers" instead of roses & the more exotic ones I wanted. I think these florists think they can get away w/ using cheaper flowers & vases b/c it's an order/delivery...Well guess what..I saw the arrangement, complained & made them send the right one. She wound up w/ 2 arrangements. (Obviously the florists fault not Teleflora).

Re: Best website for ordering flowers online?
I've never had a problem with FTD.com or 1800Flowers.com.
I usually order personal stuff through FTD via the AMEX site to get 20% when using your AMEX card.
And it's work stuff, I usually use 800 Flowers because they are a big customer of ours and we get an 18% (can't remember) discount.

I used both 1800 Flowers and ProFlowers and I liked the arrangements more from ProFlowers.

I do the same. I go to Yahoo Yellow Pages or if it's for a wake, call the funeral home directly.

Re: Best website for ordering flowers online?
I've gotten roses from Proflowers and from a local flower shop for Valentine's Day and other occasions from DH. Proflowers is very fresh, but I really believe you get what you pay for. There was a major difference between the roses I got from the local shop and the roses from Proflowers. If you're ordering something other than roses, I'd go with either, Proflowers or 1800Flowers. Most florists don't seem to like FTD. I tried to use them for a wake once and they said that they tell them now to design the thing you're purchasing and they don't use many flowers and are very cheaply made.

Re: Best website for ordering flowers online?
I've used ProFlowers a few times and have been happy with the quality of their flowers. However, they come in a big cardboard box and if no one is around when they're delivered, they're just left there. It's not like ordering from a local florist where the arrangement comes prearranged in cellephane ready for display, you know? I mean, the flowers are nice but sometimes the extra "wow" factor of a arrangement is really worth it.

I used Teleflora This past Christmas. I thought they had the best prices for what I got and my Discover Card gives me 20% cashback

i agree - my friend owns a florist and we order through her and she ships it to other florists in the area that it is needed. She usually goes by recommendations that she has had in the past to figure out which ones are the best ones

Re: Best website for ordering flowers online?
I've had good experiences with FTD and Proflowers.
Although lately I just go to bigyellow.com and search for a local florist in the area of the recipient. Prices are usually cheaper and same day delivery won't cost an arm and a leg.

ITA and I know the quality is not always great and they don't look like the image on screen--I used to work for one of them.
I always contact a local florist b/c I know I will get more for my money!
